One thing I have desired from Jehovah, that I will seek after: That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Jehovah, and to inquire in His temple.

I have seen You in the sanctuary, to look upon Your power and Your glory.

Your way, O God, is in holiness; who is so great a Mighty God as our God?

Your Testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

The entrance of Your Words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.

Observe the perfect and consider the upright one; for the latter time of that man is peace.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite when he is cut off, when God draws out his soul?

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

But it shall not be well with the wicked, nor shall he prolong his days, which are like a shadow; because he does not fear before God.

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their own power; and my people love to have it so, and what will you do in the end?

But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have prepared?

So it happened that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
