There are many who say, Who will show us any good? Jehovah, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him rejoice with gladness in Your presence.

For His anger is but for a moment; in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

so that my glory may make music unto You, and not be silent. O Jehovah my God, I will give thanks unto You forever.

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

I cried out unto Him with my mouth, and He was lifted up in praise with my tongue.

Take words with you and return to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity and receive us with grace, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to iniquity unto iniquity, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness unto sanctification.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing to His name.

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. Behold, how large a forest a little fire kindles.

For every kind of beast and bird, and of creeping thing and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.

With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the image of God.
