Then He shall speak to them in His anger, and terrify them in His wrath.

i1 [A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.] i0 par O Jehovah, do not rebuke me in Your wrath, neither chasten me in Your fury.

For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should never again overflow the earth, so I have sworn to not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before Me, and the souls I have made.

O Jehovah, correct me, but with justice; not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.

Do not fear, O Jacob My servant, says Jehovah, for I am with you. For I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you. But I will not make a complete end of you, but will correct you in justice; and I will not leave you acquitted nor unpunished.

For if we would discern ourselves, we would not be judged.

But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
