When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.

Behold, You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.

And Adoni-Bezek fled, and they pursued him and caught him and cut off his thumbs and big toes.

And Adoni-Bezek said, Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me. Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

For the living know that they shall die; but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the earth.

But I will leave of them a number of men from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations wherever they go. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

Yet behold, there shall be left in it a remnant who will be brought out, both sons and daughters; surely they will come out to you, and you will see their ways and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, all that I have brought upon it.

And they will comfort you when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have done nothing without cause, all that I have done in it, says the Lord Jehovah.

And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will crave to die, and death will flee from them.

You have given us up like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.

The Mighty God will likewise destroy you forever; He will take you away, and pluck you out of your tent, and has rooted you out of the land of the living. Selah.

I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.

And Jehovah will scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations where Jehovah will drive you.

And Jehovah will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known; wood and stone.

that Jehovah your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you.

If you are thrust out to the ends of the heavens, from there Jehovah your God will gather you, and from there He will fetch you.

And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the earth.

He performs mightily with His arm; He scatters the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.

He puts down the mighty from their thrones, and exalts the lowly.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.

Look upon everyone who is proud, and humble him; tread down the wicked in their place.

But You, O Jehovah, are a shield for me; my glory, the One who lifts up my head.

For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk in integrity.
