O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the nighttime, and am not silent.

Evening and morning and at noon I meditate and am in a stir; and He will hear my voice.

Hear me, O Jehovah, for Your lovingkindness is good; turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies.

But unto You I have cried out, O Jehovah, and in the morning my prayer comes before You.

I have risen before the dawn and cried out for help; I have hoped in Your Word.

My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning; yea, more than those who watch for the morning.

With my soul I have desired You in the night; yea, with my spirit within me I will seek You early; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

And in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there prayed.
