For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.

They devise injustice; they have finished searching out a plot. Yea, the inward part of man and the heart are unfathomable.

Thus says the Lord Jehovah: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.

And the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of robbery and wickedness.

Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

And when Samuel arose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, Saul has come to Carmel, and behold, he is setting up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal.

Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and set up a pillar for himself, which is in the King's Valley; for he thought, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance. He called the pillar after his own name. And to this day it is called Absalom's Monument.
