Uphold me according to Your Word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Sustain me, and I shall be safe, and I will gaze upon Your Statutes continually.

Direct my steps in Your Word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.

He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber.

Jehovah shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

He guards the feet of His saints, but the wicked are silent in darkness. For man does not prevail by might.

O Jehovah, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

You enlarged the place for my steps under me, so that my feet have not slipped.

For I said, Hear me, lest they rejoice over me; lest, when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

If I had said, My foot slips, Your mercy, O Jehovah, holds me up.
