Jehovah looks down from Heaven; He watches all the sons of mankind.

From His dwelling place He gazes upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

For He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from Heaven Jehovah has looked upon the earth,

to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free the children of death,

And God looked upon the earth, and behold it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

And Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.

Look down from Heaven, and look down from the place of Your holiness and of Your glory. Where is Your zeal and Your strength, the multitude of Your tender affections and of Your mercies toward me? Are they restrained?

Oh that You would rend the heavens and come down! That the mountains would quake at Your presence,

until Jehovah looks down from Heaven and has regard.

They do not know, nor do they understand; they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

Whoever is wise will observe these things, and they shall understand the goodness of Jehovah.

Then you shall understand righteousness and justice and equity and every good path.

Understand wisdom, you simple ones; and you fools, be of an understanding heart.

Whoever is simple, turn in here; and to the one lacking heart, she says to him:

When its branches are dried up, they shall be broken off; the women come and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding. Therefore He who made them will not have mercy on them, and He who formed them will show them no favor.

For My people are foolish; they have not known Me; they are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

Many shall be purified and made white and tested, but the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.

for the heart of this people has grown dull, their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, that they should not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their heart and convert, and I should heal them.

there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God.

The lowly shall see and be glad; and your heart shall live, you who seek God.

Nevertheless good things have been found in you, in that you have burned the groves from the land, and have fixed your heart to seek God.

who has prepared his heart to seek God, Jehovah the God of his fathers, though not according to the purification of the sanctuary.

And when they say to you, Consult the sorcerers and fortunetellers who peep and mutter; should not a people inquire of their God, rather than the living of the dead?

Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
