The cords of death have surrounded me, and the floods of the wicked made me afraid.

For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the streams surrounded me; all Your breakers and Your waves passed over me.

And He took Peter, Jacob, and John with Him, and He began to be in dread and deeply distressed.

And He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him.

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

He is despised and rejected by men; a Man of pain, and knowing infirmity; a hiding of faces; being despised, we have esteemed Him not.

Truly He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
