For You, Jehovah, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

Jehovah is great in Zion, and He has been exalted above all the peoples.

Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are counted as the fine dust on the scales; behold, He lifts up the islands as a very little thing.

All the nations before Him are as nothing; and to Him they are accounted as less than nothing, and vanity.

It is He who sits upon the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

For Your mercy is great to the heavens, and Your truth unto the clouds.

Be exalted above the heavens, O God; let Your glory be above all the earth.

But will God truly dwell on the earth? Behold, the heavens and the Heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this house which I have built!

Thus says Jehovah, Heaven is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you would build for Me? And where is the place of My rest?
