And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be numbered.

And He said, I am the Mighty God, the God of your fathers. Do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.

And the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, multiplied and grew exceedingly numerous; and the land was filled with them.

And you shall answer and say before Jehovah your God: My father was an Aramean, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous.

But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt
