Truly I know it is so; but how can a man be just before the Mighty God?

Is mortal man more righteous than God? Is a strong man more pure than his Maker?

So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job; his wrath was kindled because he was justifying his soul more than God.

therefore Job opens his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge.

In the abundance of words there is no end of transgression, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.

Then I said, Woe is me! for I am undone! for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of Hosts.

But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a flawless man, able also to bridle the whole body.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and the man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned away from evil.

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold, since Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Surely you have spoken in my ears, and I have heard the sound of your words, saying,

Yet He finds opposition in me, He counts me as His enemy;

Behold, in this you have not been righteous. I will answer you, for God is greater than man.

He who has a perverse heart finds no good, and he who has a crooked tongue falls into evil.
