Do you intend to rebuke the words and the speeches of one in despair, as wind?

My soul loathes my life; I will leave behind my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

Keep quiet, let me be, that I may speak; then let pass over me what will!

When I speak, my pain is not relieved; and if I remain silent, how do I proceed?

Bear with me that I may speak, and after I have spoken, mock on.

My heart was hot within me; while I was musing, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue:

I have preached righteousness in the great assembly; lo, I have not restrained My lips, O Jehovah, You know.

And they said to one another, We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not listen; therefore this distress has come upon us.

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you, through many tears, not that you should be sorrowful, but that you might know the love which I have more abundantly for you.

If I have been wicked, woe to me! And if I am righteous, I cannot lift up my head; I am full of disgrace. Pay attention to my affliction!

Another man dies in the bitterness of his soul, never having eaten with pleasure.

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to Jehovah and wept with weeping.

What shall I say? He has spoken to me, and He Himself has acted; I shall go slowly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

Behold, instead of peace I was bitter with bitterness; but You have delighted in delivering my soul from the pit of corruption. You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
