Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of His way; His works from antiquity.

when He gave to the sea its limit, that the waters should not pass beyond His command; when He engraved the foundations of the earth,

then I was at His side, like a master workman; and I was His delight day by day, being in merriment before Him at all times;

Who has gone up into Heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name? Surely you know.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

You laid the foundations of the earth, so that it should not be shaken forever.

has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, Whom He has appointed heir of all things, through Whom also He made the worlds;

And: You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Your hands.
