Can a man be of use to the Mighty God, as he who is wise may be profitable to himself?

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or is it gain to Him that you make your ways perfect?

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things are from You, and out of Your own hand we have given to You.

Oh my soul, you have said to Jehovah, You are my Lord; I have no goodness apart from You.

If you are wise, you shall be wise for yourself, and if you scorn, you alone shall bear it.

Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him?
