If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no blood shed for him.

If the sun has risen upon him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He shall make compensation to pay; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your belongings out through it.

So I did as I was commanded. I brought out my belongings by day, as though going into captivity, and at evening I dug through the wall with my hand. I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.

But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief comes, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be dug through.

They rebel against the Light; they have not recognized its ways nor stayed in its paths.

Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place,

that it might take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

For everyone practicing evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
