Can something tasteless be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

Right words are grievous, but what does your rebuke prove?

Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man giving lip be justified?

Should your empty talk make men hold their peace? And when you mock, should no one make you ashamed?

O that you would be silent and stop talking, and it would be your wisdom!

How long will you torment my soul, and break me in pieces with words?

These ten times you have reproached me; you are not ashamed that you have wronged me.

How have you helped him who is without power? How have you saved the arm that has no strength?

How have you counseled one who has no wisdom, or widely declared sound wisdom?

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

But you smear lies; you are all worthless physicians.

For they have persecuted the ones whom You have stricken, and they talk to the grief of those You pierced.

The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds;
