Behold, he writhes in iniquity, and has conceived trouble, and has brought forth falsehood.

No one calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth; they trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.

They hatch vipers' eggs and weave the spider's web; he who eats their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.

You have plowed wickedness; you have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies because you trusted in your own way, in the multitude of your mighty men.

Do not be led astray, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap eternal life.

Then, when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
