Truly I know it is so; but how can a man be just before the Mighty God?

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

How then can man be just before the Mighty God? Or how can one be pure who is born of a woman?

how much less man, who is a maggot; and the son of man, who is a worm!

When they sin against You (for there is no one who does not sin), and You have become angry with them and delivered them to the enemy, and they have taken them captive to the land of the enemy, far or near;

For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.

Lo, this only I have found, that God has made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to desire is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.

But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by the faith of Jesus Christ might be given to those believing.

in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

among whom also we all formerly conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others;

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.
