But you smear lies; you are all worthless physicians.

Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

Should he reason with speech that is not useful, or with words which do not profit?

And if it is not so, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?

I am one as a laughingstock to his friends; one who called upon God, and He answered him; the just and whole one is a laughingstock.

Will it be well when He searches you out? Or do you mock Him as one mocks a man?

Are not mockers with me? And does not my eye dwell on their rebellion?

What man is like Job, who drinks up derision like water,

with the hypocrites, mockers, for a cake, they gnashed at me with their teeth.

I did not sit in the council of the mockers, nor rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand; for You have filled me with indignation.

how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.

Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Jehovah.

And if anyone does not obey our word in this epistle, note that person and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed.

sound speech that cannot be condemned, that he who is in opposition may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.
