Then Jehovah said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to swallow him up without cause.

If He should set His heart on it, if He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,

And the man said to me, Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you; for you were brought here so that I might show them to you. Declare to the house of Israel everything you see.

Not so with My servant Moses! He is faithful in all My house.

I speak with him mouth to mouth, even by appearance, and not in riddles; and he looks upon the form of Jehovah. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?

I have found David, My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him;

Behold My Servant, whom I uphold; My Elect, in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He shall bring forth justice to the nations.

(Now the man Moses was very meek, more than any man on the face of the earth.)

Thus Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the sons of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.

And before him there was no king like him, who turned to Jehovah with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the Law of Moses; nor after him has any arisen like him.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and the man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned away from evil.

Behold, the Mighty God will not cast away the perfect, nor will His hand support evildoers.

It is all one; therefore I have said, He destroys the perfect and the wicked.

If the scourge slays suddenly, He mocks at the despair of the innocent.

I was also perfect before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit.

I am one as a laughingstock to his friends; one who called upon God, and He answered him; the just and whole one is a laughingstock.

Upright men are astonished at this, and the innocent stirs himself up against the hypocrite.

Yet the righteous will take hold on his way, and he who has clean hands shall increase strength.

My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

I have not departed from the Commandment of His lips; I have treasured the Words of His mouth more than my prescribed food.

For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk in integrity.

But the former governors who had been before me were heavy on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

And one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.

But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation?

Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Depart from evil and do good, and live forevermore.

Wash yourselves, purify yourselves. Put away the evil of your doings from My eyes; stop doing evil.
