Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate; they consecrated it and set up its doors. As far as the Tower of Meah, they consecrated it; even as far as the Tower of Hananel.

and above the Gate of Ephraim, above the Old Gate, above the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel, the Tower of Meah, as far as the Sheep Gate; and they stood still by the Gate of the Prison.

Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.

Next to him Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths, made repairs. Also next to him Hananiah, the son of one of the perfumers, made repairs; and they left Jerusalem safe as far as the Broad Wall.

After him Malchijah, a son of one of the goldsmiths, made repairs as far as the house of the temple slaves and of the merchants, in front of the Miphkad Gate, and as far as the upper room at the corner.
