And I went out by night through the Valley Gate, to the Serpent Spring and the Refuse Gate, and examined the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down, and its gates which had been consumed with fire.

So I brought the rulers of Judah up on the wall, and stationed two large thanksgiving choirs. One went to the right hand on the wall toward the Refuse Gate.

And next to them Rephaiah the son of Hur, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs.

And next to him was Shallum the son of Hallohesh, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem; he and his daughters made repairs.

Shallun the son of Col-Hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired the Fountain Gate; he built it, covered it, set up its doors with its bolts and bars, and repaired the wall of the Pool of Shelah by the King's Garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the City of David.

After him the Levites, under Rehum the son of Bani, made repairs. Next to him Hashabiah, ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs in his district.

O children of Benjamin, seek refuge out of the midst of Jerusalem. Blow the shofar in Tekoa, and set up a signal-fire in Beth-haccerem; for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.
