Ezra 3:8
Now in the second month of the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began, and appointed the Levites from twenty years old and above to oversee the work of the house of Jehovah.

Then Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of Jehovah their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as Jehovah their God had sent him. And the people feared before Jehovah.

And Haggai, the messenger of Jehovah, spoke the message of Jehovah to the people, saying, I am with you, says Jehovah.

Haggai 2:2-15

Speak now to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

Who is left among you who saw this house in her former glory? And how do you see it now? When compared to it, is it not as nothing in your eyes?
4
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says Jehovah. And be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. And be strong, all you people of the land, and work, says Jehovah. For I am with you, says Jehovah of Hosts.
5
According to the Word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit stands among you; do not fear.
6
For thus says Jehovah of Hosts: Yet once more (it is a little while), and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.
7
And I will shake all the nations; and the desire of all nations shall come. And I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of Hosts.
8
The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts.
9
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, says Jehovah of Hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says Jehovah of Hosts.
10
In the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the Word of Jehovah came to Haggai the prophet, saying,

Thus says Jehovah of Hosts: Now ask the priests the Law, saying,

If one carries holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and touches his skirt to the bread, or boiled food, or wine, or oil, or any food, will it become holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
13
And Haggai said, If an unclean body touches these, is it unclean? And the priests answered and said, It is unclean.
14
And Haggai answered and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before Me, declares Jehovah. And so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.
15
And now set your heart on it, from this day and onward: before the placing of a stone on a stone in the temple of Jehovah;
Zechariah 2:1-4

I lifted up my eyes again and looked, and, behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2
And I said, Where are you going? And he said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.
3
And, behold, the angel who talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him,

and said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem will be inhabited like unwalled villages, for the multitude of men and livestock in her midst.
Zechariah 6:1-15

And again I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, four chariots were coming from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.
2
With the first chariot were red horses, and with the second chariot black horses,

and with the third chariot white horses, and with the fourth dappled and strong horses.
4
And I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5
And the angel answered and said to me, These are the four spirits of Heaven who go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6
The black horses in it go into the land of the north, and the white go after them; and the dappled ones go toward the land of the south.
7
And the strong ones went forth and sought to go, to walk to and fro through the earth. And He said, Go. Walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8
And He cried out to me, and spoke to me, saying, Behold, these who go toward the land of the north have given My Spirit rest in the land of the north.

And the Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Take from Heldai, from Tobijah, and from Jedaiah, the exiles who have come from Babylon; and in the same day go and enter into the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.
11
And take silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.
12
And speak to him, saying, Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Behold, the Man whose name is THE BRANCH. And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.
13
Even He shall build the temple of Jehovah; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne. And He shall be a priest on His throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between the two of them.
14
And the crown shall be for a memorial in the temple of Jehovah, to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen, the son of Zephaniah.
15
And those from afar shall come and build in the temple of Jehovah. And you shall know that Jehovah of Hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass if you will give heed and obey the voice of Jehovah your God.

Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: Jehovah the God of Heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.

Who is there among you of all His people? His God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of Jehovah the God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.

And whoever remains in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.

Thus the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem ceased, and it came to be ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia.
