And they forsook the house of Jehovah the God of their fathers, and served the groves and idols; and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem because of their trespass.

And the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, who stood above the people, and said to them, Thus says God: Why do you transgress the commandments of Jehovah, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken Jehovah, He also has forsaken you.

And Jehovah spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen.

Yet Jehovah testified against Israel and against Judah, by the hand of all of His prophets and every seer, saying, Turn away from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the Law which I have commanded your fathers, and which I have sent to you by the hand of My servants the prophets.

From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even to this day, which is the twenty-third year, the Word of Jehovah has come unto me; and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking; but you have not listened.

And Jehovah has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but you have not listened nor extended your ear to hear.

to listen to the words of My servants the prophets whom I sent to you, both rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened);

I have also sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Turn back now each man from his evil way, and do good, and do not go after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers. But you have not extended your ear, nor heeded Me.

But I sent to you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not do this abominable thing which I hate!

But they did not heed, nor extend their ear to turn from their evil, to burn no incense to other gods.

And they put away the foreign gods from among them and served Jehovah. And His soul was grieved because of Israel's troubles.

But Jehovah was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and regarded them, because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not yet destroy them or cast them from His presence.

How shall I give you up, Ephraim? Shall I deliver you up, Israel? How shall I make you like Admah? Shall I set you as Zeboim? My heart churns within Me; My compassions are kindled together.

And as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,

For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and besiege you on every side,
