And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had adjured him by God; but he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to Jehovah the God of Israel.

And Jehovah said to Moses, I have seen this people, and behold it is a stiff-necked people!

Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be stiff-necked no more;

But to Israel he says: All day long I have stretched out My hands to a disobedient and contradicting people.

I have seen You in the sanctuary, to look upon Your power and Your glory.

They have seen Your goings, O God; the goings of my Mighty God, my King, in the sanctuary.

until I went into the sanctuary of the Mighty God; then I understood their end.

For Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place.

This is My continual resting place; here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

You shall fear Jehovah your God and serve Him, and swear by His name.

You shall take heed to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you.

And if it seems evil to you to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers have served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

Then Jesus said to him, Go away, Satan! For it has been written, You shall do homage to the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him.

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end, eternal life.

Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

Now listen to me, therefore, and return the captives, whom you have taken captive from your brethren, for the fierce wrath of Jehovah is upon you.

and said to them, You shall not bring the captives here, for we are already guilty before Jehovah. You intend to add to our sins and to our guilt; for our guilt is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.

Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with Jehovah the God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.

Nevertheless Jehovah had not turned from His great burning wrath, with which His anger had been kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him.

He cast upon them His burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, by sending evil angels.
