And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest; he had no war in those years, because Jehovah had given him rest.

Therefore he said to Judah, Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought Jehovah our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

And all Judah rejoiced at the oath, for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their will; and He was found by them, and Jehovah gave them rest all around.

Now it came to pass, many days after Jehovah had given rest to Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua had grown old and advanced in age.

Now it came to pass when the king was dwelling in his house, and Jehovah had given him rest from all his enemies all around,

When He gives quietness, who then can condemn? And when He hides His face, who then can see Him? It might be against a nation or mankind altogether,

When a man's ways please Jehovah, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
