To you it has been shown, that you might know that Jehovah Himself is God; there is no one else besides Him.

hear in Heaven Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls upon You, that all peoples of the earth may know Your name to fear You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by Your name.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Jehovah, have not forsaken those who seek You.

but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am Jehovah, doing kindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, says Jehovah.

He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him. Was this not knowledge of Me? says Jehovah.

And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God. For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

And they shall no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.

Hear the Word of Jehovah, you sons of Israel, for Jehovah has a complaint against the inhabitants of the land; for there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your sons.

Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His Word.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You sent.

for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your devotion, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One to whom you show reverence without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:

Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

And even as they do not like to have God in their full true knowledge, God gives them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak to your shame.

For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

And behold, Jehovah stood above it and said: I am Jehovah the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you are lying I give to you and your seed.

Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, Jehovah the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, I have surely visited you and seen what is being done to you in Egypt;

Jehovah is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; He is my Mighty God, and I will adorn Him; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

And Solomon said: You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son sitting on his throne, as it is this day.

Jehovah is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my Mighty God, my rock wall, in whom I will trust; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

He shall call unto Me, You are my Father, my Mighty God, and the Rock of my salvation.

And the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they had offered willingly unto Jehovah; and King David also rejoiced with great joy.

I know also, my God, that You examine the heart and take pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people who are found here, to offer willingly to You.

And give my son Solomon a perfect heart to keep Your commandments and Your testimonies and Your statutes, to do all these things, and to build the temple for which I have made provision.

Let your heart therefore be perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.

Remember now, O Jehovah, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done what was good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wailed with great weeping.

And he did what was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in good, and their years in pleasures.

But if they do not obey, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

For if something is presented eagerly, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not from sorrow or out of duty; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not eager for dishonest gain but with a ready mind;

then hear in Heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone have known the hearts of all the sons of men),

O let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off.

The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold, but Jehovah tries the hearts.

But, O Jehovah of Hosts, who judges righteously, who tries the mind and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them. For to You I have laid open my cause.

I Jehovah search the heart, I examine the soul, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

But, O Jehovah of Hosts, who tries the righteous and sees the soul and the heart, let me see Your vengeance on them. For I have made my cause known to You.

and had no need that anyone should bear witness of man, for He knew what was in man.

And there is no creature that is not revealed in His presence, but all things are naked and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must give answer.

And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the inner thoughts and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all day long.

And Jehovah smelled a soothing aroma. And Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground because of man, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again smite every living thing as I have done.

And it shall be, when many evils and troubles find them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their seed, for I know the imagination of their works even today, even before I bring them into the land of which I have sworn to give to them.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts afar off.

Thus says the Lord Jehovah: On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.

And he went out before Asa, and said to him: Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. Jehovah is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

My son, if you will receive my words, and treasure up my commandments within you,

yes, if you cry out for discernment, lifting up your voice for understanding;

then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth. I did not say to the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain. I, Jehovah, speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

And you shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

And Jehovah said to Moses: Behold, you shall rest with your fathers; and this people will rise up and commit adultery with the gods of the foreigners of the land, where they are going in to be among them, and they will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them.

And My anger will burn against them in that day, and I shall forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?

But if you or your sons go back to turn away from after Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and bow down to them,

And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and shall hiss, and say, Why has Jehovah done thus to this land and to this house?

For I was ashamed to request of the king troops and horsemen to help us against the enemy along the road, because we had spoken to the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all those for good who seek Him, but His power and His wrath are against all those who forsake Him.

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together. And those who forsake Jehovah shall be consumed.

Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul is not pleased with him.

But we are not of those who draw back to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.
