These, the sons of Caleb the son of Hur; the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim,

and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah the father of Bethlehem.

And you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are insignificant among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from the days of eternity.
