Thus David recognized that Jehovah had established him as king over Israel, and that He had exalted His kingdom for His people Israel.

And David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he came from Hebron. Also more sons and daughters were born to David.

And these are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

1 Kings 5:1
And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had loved David all his days.
1 Kings 5:8-12

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have agreed to the things which you have sent me, and I will do all your desire concerning the cedar and cypress timber.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you direct me, and will have them broken apart there; then you can take them away. And you shall fulfill my desire by giving food for my household.

And Hiram gave Solomon cedar and cypress timber according to all his desire.

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of beaten oil. Thus Solomon gave to Hiram year by year.

Thus Jehovah gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made an alliance together.
2 Chronicles 2:11
And Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon: Because of Jehovah's love for His people, He has appointed you king over them.

Huram also said: Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel, who has made the heavens and earth, for He has given King David a wise son, endowed with prudence and understanding, who will build a house for Jehovah and a royal house for himself.

And Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; and he finished all his house.

He also built the house of the Forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, with four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars.

And it was paneled with cedar above the beams that were on forty-five pillars, fifteen to a row.

There were windows with beveled frames in three rows, and window was opposite window in three tiers.

He also made the porch of pillars: its length was fifty cubits, and its width thirty cubits; and in front of them was a porch with pillars, and a threshold in front of them.

And he made a porch for the throne, the Porch of Judgment, where he judged; and it was paneled with cedar from floor to floor.

And the house where he dwelt had another court inside the porch, of similar workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this porch for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken as wife.

All these were of costly stones cut to size, sawn with saws, inside and out, from the foundation to the coping, and also on the outside to the great court.

The foundation was of costly stones, large stones, stones of ten cubits and stones of eight cubits.

And above were costly stones, hewn to size, and cedar.

The great court was of three rows of hewn stones and a row of cedar beams. So were the inner court of the house of Jehovah and the porch of the house.
Jeremiah 22:13-15

Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his upper rooms without justice; his neighbor serves without pay, and is given nothing for his work;
14
who says, I will build myself a wide house and large rooms, and has cut out windows for himself, and the ceiling is paneled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

Shall you reign, because you lust after cedar? Did not your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
