For Jozachar the son of Shimeath and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, struck him. So he died, and they buried him with his fathers in the City of David. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.

And they conspired treason against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish and killed him there.

And they brought him on horses, and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the City of David.

And he slaughtered all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned men's bones on them; and he returned to Jerusalem.

And they brought him on horses and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.

His servants therefore took him out of that chariot and put him in the second chariot that he had, and they brought him to Jerusalem. So he died, and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.
