And as they went to bring word to His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, Greetings! And they came and held Him by the feet and did homage to Him.

and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the ointment.

But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, Send her away, for she cries out after us.

And the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!

And they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, What do You seek? or, Why are You talking with her?

Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was about to betray Him, said,

This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the moneybag; and he used to take what was put in it.

But Jesus said, Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work toward Me.

But Jesus said, Let her alone; she has kept this for the day of My burial.

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to Jehovah and wept with weeping.

My soul loathes my life; I will leave behind my complaint; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share in its joy.

The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a stricken spirit?

And one of his servants said, No one, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.

And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in your heart, for Jehovah is with you.

Surely the Lord Jehovah will do nothing unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master does; but I have called you friends, for all things that I hear from My Father I make known to you.
