And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the Word of Jehovah, and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

And in every single city of Judah he made high places to burn incense to other gods, and provoked to anger Jehovah the God of his fathers.

But we will prepare and do whatever goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the Queen of Heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our rulers, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem. For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their graven images.
