that Jehovah appeared to Solomon the second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.

And he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to the heavens; and behold the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

And behold, Jehovah stood above it and said: I am Jehovah the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you are lying I give to you and your seed.

And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, Jehovah, reveal Myself to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.

For the Mighty God may speak once or twice, yet no one regards it.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds,

But while he was pondering these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

And when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, take the Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod is about to seek the young Child in order to destroy Him.

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

That night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give you.

Now, O Jehovah God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth for multitude.

And God said to Solomon: Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king;

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

And He said to them, What do you want Me to do for you?

But Jesus said to them, You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, and be immersed with the immersion that I am immersed with?

but to sit on My right hand and on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.

But Jesus called them to Himself and said to them, You know that those who seem to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

And whoever of you desires to become first shall be slave of all.

And they came to Jericho. And as He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.

And many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me!

And throwing aside his garment, he arose and came to Jesus.

Therefore I say to you, Everything whatever you ask when you pray, believe that you receive, and it will be to you.

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked from Him.
