So David rested with his fathers, and was buried in the City of David.

So when Hadad heard in Egypt that David had rested with his fathers, and that Joab the commander of the army had died, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to my own land.

After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah had made an alliance with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted very wickedly.
