And he did evil in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in the ways of his father, and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin.

And He will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who has sinned and has made Israel sin.

Woe, sinful nation, a people heavy with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who corrupt! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have scorned the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged backward.
