But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he requested for his soul that he might die, and said, It is enough! Now, Jehovah, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and wander homeless.

And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

in hardship and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness;

I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in everything I am taught both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to lack.

I have strength for all things in Christ who strengthens me.
