that Your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, toward the place of which You have said, My name shall be there, that You may hear the prayer which Your servant prays toward this place.

And may You hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear in Heaven Your dwelling place; and when You hear, forgive.

When Your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever You send them, and when they pray to Jehovah toward the city which You have chosen and the house which I have built for Your name,

(but he shall have one tribe for the sake of My servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel),

But you shall regularly seek out the place where Jehovah your God chooses, out of all your tribes, to put His name for His dwelling place; and there you shall go.

And there you shall eat before Jehovah your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which Jehovah your God has blessed you.

You shall sacrifice the Passover unto Jehovah your God, from the flock and the herd, in the place where Jehovah chooses to establish His name.

but at the place where Jehovah your God chooses to establish His name, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the appointed time that you came out of Egypt.

And it will happen, when the Egyptians see you, that they will say, This is his wife; and they will kill me, but they will let you live.

Please say that you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and my soul shall live because of you.

And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, She is my sister; for he was afraid to say, She is my wife, thinking, Lest the men of the place kill me on account of Rebekah, because she was of a pleasant appearance.

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Jehovah shall be exalted.

For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the intelligent.

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
