Then Abner became very angry at the words of Ishbosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman?

Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Please, let me go over and take off his head!

After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom are you pursuing? After a dead dog? After a flea?

Therefore Jehovah is judge, and has judged between you and me, and shall see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.
