that he may give me the cave of Machpelah which he has, which is at the end of his field. Let him give it to me at the full price, as property for a burial place among you.

And Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the ears of the sons of Heth, all who entered at the gate of his city, saying,

No, my lord, hear me: I give you the field and the cave that is in it; I give it to you before the eyes of the sons of my people. I give it to you. Bury your dead.

And Abraham bowed himself down before the people of the land;

and he spoke to Ephron in the ears of the people of the land, saying, If you will give it, please hear me. I will give you money for the field; take it from me and I will bury my dead there.

And Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,

My lord, listen to me; the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver. What is that between you and me? So bury your dead.

And Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out the silver to Ephron which he had spoken in the ears of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency of the merchants.
1 Chronicles 21:22
And David said to Ornan, Give me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build an altar on it unto Jehovah. You shall give it to me for the full price, that the plague may be restrained from the people.
Jeremiah 32:6-14

And Jeremiah said, The Word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy for yourself my field in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours, to buy it.

So Hanamel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the Word of Jehovah and said to me, Please buy my field in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the right of redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the Word of Jehovah.

And I bought the field in Anathoth, from Hanamel my uncle's son, and weighed him the money, seventeen shekels of silver.
10
And I wrote it in the document, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed the silver in the scales.
11
So I took the document of the purchase, that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and the open copy.
12
And I gave the document of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the eyes of Hanamel my uncle's son, and in the eyes of the witnesses who wrote in the purchase document, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

Thus says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Take these documents, the purchase document, the one sealed and the open document, and put them in an earthen vessel so that they may survive many days.
the plague
2 Samuel 21:3-14

Therefore David said to the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? And with what shall I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of Jehovah?

And the Gibeonites said to him, We will have no silver or gold from Saul or from his house, nor shall you kill any man in Israel for us. So he said, Whatever you say, I will do for you.

And they answered the king, As for the man who destroyed us and plotted against us, that we should be annihilated from remaining in any of the territories of Israel,

let seven men of his sons be delivered to us, and we will hang them before Jehovah in Gibeah of Saul, whom Jehovah chose. And the king said, I will deliver them.
7
But the king spared Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the oath of Jehovah that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
8
So the king took Armoni and Mephibosheth, the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she had borne to Saul; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she had borne to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite;

and he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the hill before Jehovah. So they fell, all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, at the beginning of barley harvest.

Now Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until the waters poured on them from the heavens. And she did not allow the birds of the heavens to rest on them by day nor the beasts of the field by night.

And David was told what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.

And David went and took the bones of Saul, and the bones of Jonathan his son, from the men of Jabesh Gilead who had stolen them from the town square of Beth Shan, where the Philistines had hung them up, after the Philistines had struck down Saul in Gilboa.

And he brought up the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from there; and they gathered the bones of those who were hanged.

And they buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the land of Benjamin in Zelah, in the tomb of Kish his father. Thus they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.
Numbers 16:47-50

And Aaron took as Moses had spoken, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and behold, the plague had begun among the people. So he put on the incense and made atonement for the people.

And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was restrained.
49
Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the matter of Korah.

And Aaron returned to Moses at the door of the tent of meeting, for the plague had been restrained.
Numbers 25:8
and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman, through her belly. Thus the plague was stopped from the children of Israel.
