And if they are bound in fetters, caught in cords of affliction,

The cords of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death have confronted me.

The bands of death have encompassed me, and the distress of Sheol has fallen upon me; I found trouble and sorrow.

The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have laid the bait for me. Selah

His own iniquities shall capture the wicked, and he shall be held with the cords of his sin.

And he said, I cried out to Jehovah because of my distress, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried for help, and You heard my voice.

whom God raised up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.

The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to turn away from the snares of death.

The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, to avoid the snares of death.
