And Saul said to him, Lad, whose son are you? And David answered, I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.

Jesse begot Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, Shimea the third,

Ozem the sixth, and David the seventh.

And they buried him in his own tomb, which he had made for himself in the City of David; and they laid him in the bed which was filled with spices and various ingredients prepared in a mixture of ointments; and they made a very great burning for him.

And Jehoshaphat rested with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his place.

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, Behold, we are your bone and your flesh.
