Oh that the salvation of Israel was out of Zion! When Jehovah brings back the captivity of His people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses; for they are from antiquity.

Show us Your mercy, Jehovah, and grant us Your salvation.

Jehovah, I have hoped for Your salvation, and have done Your Commandments.

I have longed for Your salvation, O Jehovah, and Your Law is my delight.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes wait upon Jehovah our God, until He shall have mercy upon us.

I have waited for Jehovah, my soul has waited, and in His Word I have hoped.

And I will wait on Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will watch for Him.

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God. We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

Jehovah is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming, boldly went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor from God.

And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.

for my eyes have seen Your Salvation

He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness out of faith.

and to wait for His Son from Heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the coming wrath.
