And he recognized it and said, It is my son's tunic. An evil beast has devoured him. Joseph has been rent and torn to pieces.

And all his sons and all his daughters arose to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted, and he said, I will go down into Sheol mourning for my son. Thus his father wept for him.

And Jacob their father said to them, You have bereaved me: Joseph is not, Simeon is not, and you would take Benjamin. All these things are against me.

And they told him, saying, Joseph is still alive, and he is ruling over all the land of Egypt. And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.
