And it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he summoned Esau his older son and said to him, My son. And he answered him, Here am I.

And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and his eyes had begun to grow dim that he could not see,

Now Eli was ninety-eight years old, and his eyes had become set that he could not see.

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn back, and be healed.

Behold, Jehovah's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor is His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said: Surely, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field which Jehovah has blessed.

And early in the morning Laban arose, and kissed his sons and daughters and blessed them. And Laban departed and returned to his place.

Moreover he kissed all his brothers and wept over them, and after that his brothers talked with him.

And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow after you. And he said to him, Turn and go back, for what have I done to you?
