For your servant became surety for the lad to my father, saying, If I do not bring him back to you, then I shall bear the guilt before my father for all time.

And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go, that we may live and not die, both we and you and also our little ones.

I myself will be surety for him; from my hand you shall require him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then I shall bear the guilt forever.

If there is a dispute between men, and they come to court, that the judges may judge them, and they justify the righteous and condemn the wicked,

And Adoni-Bezek said, Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table; as I have done, so God has repaid me. Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.

A man who is oppressed with the blood of a soul shall flee to the pit; let no one support him.
