And he said to him, See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.

All these, O king, Araunah has given to the king. And Araunah said to the king, May Jehovah your God accept you.

And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead; and the Syrians struck Joram.

Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job will pray for you; for I accept him; lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.

It is not good to favor the person of the wicked, nor to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.

But it shall not be well with the wicked, nor shall he prolong his days, which are like a shadow; because he does not fear before God.

Say to the righteous that it is well; for they shall eat of the fruit of their doings.

Woe to the wicked! For the evil, the recompense of his hand, shall be done unto him.

For what purpose does frankincense come to Me from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not pleasing, nor are your sacrifices sweet to Me.

And if you offer the blind in sacrifice, is it not evil? And if you offer the lame and the sick, is it not evil? Bring it now to your governor. Will he be pleased with you or receive you favorably? says Jehovah of Hosts.

Who is there even among you that will shut the doors, so that you not kindle fire on My altar in vain? I have no pleasure in you, says Jehovah of Hosts, nor will I accept a food offering from your hand.

And you have said, Behold, what weariness. And you have sniffed at it, says Jehovah of Hosts. And you bring what was stolen, and the lame, and the sick; and you bring the grain offering. Should I accept it from your hand? says Jehovah.

But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is acceptable to Him.

eternal life to those who steadfastly doing good, seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility;

trouble and anguish, on every soul of man who produces evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety at home and to repay their parents; for this is good and acceptable before God.

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

just as I was in my productive days, when the counsel of God was over my tent;

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; how much more when he brings it with wicked intent!

By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

And He said, What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.

When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.

But sin, taking occasion through the commandment, produced in me every lust. For apart from the Law sin is dead.

I was alive once apart from the Law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

Then, when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

To the woman He said: I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in pain you shall bring forth children; your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.
