And the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.

Then Lot chose for himself all the area around Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated each from the other.

Also I have given unto you and your seed after you the land in which you sojourn, all the land of Canaan, as an enduring possession; and I will be their God.

and give you the blessing of Abraham, to you and your seed with you, that you may inherit the land in which you are a sojourner, which God has given to Abraham.
