And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have done foolishly in so doing.

And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.

And they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.

And they blessed Rebekah and said to her: Our sister, may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousands; and may your seed possess the gates of those who hate them.

And Isaac summoned Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.

And Jehovah put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.

How shall I curse whom the Mighty God has not cursed? And how shall I denounce whom Jehovah has not denounced?

And Balak said to Balaam, What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and lo, you have blessed them to be adored!

Nevertheless Jehovah your God would not listen to Balaam, but Jehovah your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because Jehovah your God has loved you.

When a man's ways please Jehovah, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

And Jehovah went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.

And it came to pass, when Rachel had borne Joseph, that Jacob said to Laban, Send me away, that I may go to my own place and to my own land.

And Balaam arose and departed and returned to his place; and Balak also went his way.

For Jehovah will judge His people and have compassion on His servants, when He sees that their power is gone, and there is no one remaining, bond or free.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; with the remainder of wrath You shall gird Yourself.

So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live.

But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.
