And Isaac said to Jacob, Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are my very son Esau or not.

And he said, Are you really my son Esau? And he said, I am.

And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's game, so that my soul may bless you. So he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.

And the first came out red. He was like a hairy garment all over; and they called his name Esau.

And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter and brought her to him; and he went in to her.

And it came to pass in the morning, that behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Rachel that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?

And he said to him, I too am a prophet as you are, and an angel has spoken to me by the Word of Jehovah, saying, Bring him back with you to your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied to him.

And Jeroboam said to his wife, Please arise, and disguise yourself, that they may not recognize you as the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who told me that I would be king over this people.

Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol; when the overflowing scourge shall have gone and passed through, it shall not come upon us; for we have made lies our refuge, and we have hidden ourselves under falsehood.

And it shall be that when any shall continue to prophesy, then his father and his mother who begot him shall say to him, You shall not live, for you speak lies in the name of Jehovah. And his father and his mother who begot him shall thrust him through when he prophesies.

And it shall be in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed, each one of his vision when he prophesies, and they shall not wear a hairy garment to deceive.

But he denied it before them all, saying, I do not know what you are saying.

And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man!

Then he began to curse and swear, saying, I do not know the Man! And immediately a rooster crowed.
